Just Add Water…

At the beginning of March my wife decided I shouldn’t drink coffee anymore, not even decaf.

I know, there’s a lot to unpack in that sentence. I’ll get straight to the point though - she was right. I’d been getting the occasional migraine - quite unusual for me - and the only thing that seemed to connect those migraines was that coffee had been drunk shortly before each one.

So I reluctantly said fare-thee-well to the foamy deliciousness that is the Flat White and packed up my trusty Moka stovetop pot. Reader, I haven’t had a migraine since.

Luckily I do also love a cup of tea, so my hot drink world didn’t look entirely barren. However I did not expect a new contender to waft on to the scene and make such a splash.

Mint tea! Who knew?!

Well, maybe you did. I’m not claiming to be the first person in the world to discover it. I have found a really good one though - and we happen to sell it!

Emma and George at Cupsmith make beautiful small-batch teas and coffees, their mission being to help you find a moment of calm and pleasure in your busy, hectic life. The tea they make from a blend of organic spearmint and peppermint manages to soothe and enliven at the same time in that unique way that only mint can. It’s like a stroll through the greenest garden you’ve ever seen after a warm summer rainstorm, for your mouth!

And it’s more than taken the edge off my post-coffee life :)
